Sleep & Waking up – A devotee’s path

  1. Sleep is an important inevitable part of our daily life.
  2. We should neither sleep less nor sleep more. We can find this balance only by experience.
  3. Before we sleep, we should thank God for giving us this day.
  4. Before we sleep, we must think what we did wrongly and to whom we did such wrong thing and should bring them to our mind and should seek apology for our mistake.
  5. We should use the available bed to sleep. We should accept whatever bedding is there. We should not disregard/discard what is given to us.
  6. Once we lie down, we should constantly remember God.
  7. We should also observe closely how the consciousness moves from waking state to sleeping state
  8. Once we wake up from sleep, we should thank God for the good sleep.
  9. After which we must pray God to give us strength to remember him throughout the day
